I'm becoming more and more convinced that the way to "fix" public education has nothing to do with the education system and has everything to do with growing income inequality and the unrelenting decline of the middle class.

Ha. See, I was kind of hoping someone would tell me that that chart is full of crap and why, so I could understand the math better. :)
On your non-tabled point, I think that you'd be very hard pressed to tell if declining education was causing or speeding the decline of the middle class.
